L-tryptophan is an essential amino acid, one of the building blocks of protein. Unlike some amino acids that are produced in the liver, L-tryptophan is considered essential because the body cannot produce its own, it must be assimilated from the food we eat.
It is one of the building blocks of protein and functions as a precursor to several important substances, such as serotonin. Serotonin is an important anti-stress hormone, which is a building block for other hormones like melatolin. Our body needs sufficient amounts of melatonine to regulate the biological day and night rhythm.
Because tryptophan has so many functions, the assimilation through food can easily become insufficient. A shortage of tryptophan can result in bad control of stress, disrupted sleeping patterns, and difficulties with maintaining a normal biorhythm.
L-tryptophan clearly plays an instrumental role in balancing mood and sleep patterns. It increases vitality and endurance power. It keeps you young and gives you energy in times of fatigue and listlessness.


Take 1 to 2 capsules a day on an empty stomach with water. For sleep, take 30-60 minutes before bedtime.


Do not use with MAO-inhibitors or other antidepressants.
