Salt Series Dry Handpipe
This fat little beast is a striking apparition: deep, glossy black with a ridged life-like pattern, snub tubular appendages adorned with erratic white bumps, small yellowing teeth framing a gaping mouth. The deep indent on the left of the bowl, behind its top row of teeth, is a snug fit for your thumb, but the shell-like conical indentation near the mouth piece seems to serve no purpose other than to make you endlessly wonder what it could be for in this creature's fantasy world. A narrowed light blue eye and soft blue shading break up this tiny expanse of pitch black.
Impressive detail, mottled coloring and a disturbingly realistic eye make Salt's glass handpipe a unique addition to your home and your smoking kit. You may already own a pipe, but Salt's work is truly a collector's item.
This one-of-a-kind piece is part of a series of handpipes created by respected Austin, Texas-based glass artist Salt. Inspired by strange creatures at the bottom of the sea, these mysterious invertebrates appear to see all. Each piece is signed by the artist and never replicated — your pipe is the only one like it.
